Windows Live Movie Maker can't split movie clips

Problem: All you can do is "trim" the ends off of a clip, which is quite useless when you need to remove something from the middle of a clip.
It goes way beyond cutting out the middle of a clip, though. A "split" option can be used for all sorts of cool stuff, such as selectively applying effects (like slow motion) to parts of a clip. Not only that, but a simple split option would take less code than the current trim slider does.
While I'm at it, where's the ability to do cool titles and credits like Movie Maker 6 (in Vista) had? In Vista, you could also do cool stuff like apply effects to the titles and credits.

Look at the cool titles and credits, transitions, and slow motion on parts of clips.
That's what I want to be able to do with Windows Live Movie Maker. There's very little chance that I'll "Upgrade" to Windows 7 if I have to downgrade to WL Movie Maker.

Solution: 1. Replace the complicated trim option with a simple split button.
2. Allow us to at LEAST do all the stuff we could do with Windows Move Maker 6.
