When Flash is not installed, the Welcome to Messenger screen is somewhat broken

Submitted by nyp on February 28, 2010 to Bug

If you do not have Flash installed, the Welcome to Windows Live Messenger screen is broken and doesn't offer any additional content.

Don't display the message and offer some content for those who didn't installed Flash. While you're at there, switch to Silverlight? :P

My suggestion: delete the hole Window. Getting started or Welcome windows are really frustrating, no one reed them, everybody click them away. There are soms welcome windows like from itunes that are better, becourse they really help you with the first steps and, more important, you can quickly select "Never show again"....

iTunes really sucks. So don't EVER compare ANY high-quality application with that shit.
Weird that they're not using Silverlight which is much better than Flash.
