[Messenger] Remove unused Email icon

Submitted by DavidTaraso on March 4, 2009 to Aesthetics, Annoyance, Icons

I don't have an "official" Windows Live address (@msn, @live, @hotmail, etc.) but I have associated a Windows Live Passport to my existing email account. But with this, I don't have email service with Windows Live, so when clicking on the Email icon in Windows Live Messenger... nothing happens.

Remove the email icon if the account is not associated with email service.

Changed title from [Remove unused Email icon] to [[Messenger] Remove unused Email icon].

Actually I find it sort of useful. I'm in the same position. But, when I click on the icon it loads up my Outlook email inbox....

As Alimaggs said, if you're not using @microsoftservice.tld it opens your default email programme (which is user customisable). Useful :)

Should be an option. +1.
