Windows Live Mail Missing Toolbar Icons

Submitted by DaveyBoyM on February 26, 2010 to Annoyance

I have just upgraded from Windows XP using Outlook Express to Windows 7 Home Premium. Why has Microsoft has removed the Toolbar Icons from Windows Live Mail? Surely this is abackward step??? perhaps they want everyone to upgrade there mail client to Outlook 2007, all it is doing is putting people off using Windows Live Mail and choosing someone elses Mail Program

Bring back the Toolbar Icons Bill Gates

You said you have upgraded to Windows 7? Take a look to the new Explorer. it has also no icons. In the begining i was also not happy with it. But its cleaner and simpler than the icons. it brings rest.

And by the way, Bill Gates has stopped at Microsoft, Steve ballmer is the new Gates.

Its what the USER wants, and some still like icons.

Windows live mail is being updated as we speak to use the ribbion UI, and it will have then icons back.

i guess microsoft wanted people to think it was 1984 all over again
