Windows 7 unable to access NAS after installation of "Widnows Live Sign-in Assistant"

After installation of Windows Live suite which includes Windows Live Sign-in Assistant component users are unable to access a NAS system that was previously accessible from the same machine. See the following:

Go to Programs and remove the Windows Live Sign-in Assistant and reboot. The NAS drive will now be accessible.
