Asian Typography Inconsistencies in WLMessenger

Submitted by puhniste on August 20, 2009 to Aesthetics, Usability

Asian (Chinese and Korean) fonts are really inconsistent in WLMessenger. If you don't set your system locale to one with a clear type asian font set, the font will be the ones from windows 98. The menu bars use clear type, but when you get into dialog boxes, the fonts suddenly become Windows 98 fonts again. (See the difference in the picture between the title and the fonts in the actual dialog box)

Another annoyance is if i set my font to let's say cambria and I suddenly switch languages and want to type in either Chinese or Korean, my asian fonts will not be clear type....even when there are better clear type fonts included in Windows (Vista and 7)

Just update the fonts in the dialog boxes, and make things more consistent...How hard can it be?
