[Spaces] Provide better control over comments

Submitted by gregsedwards on March 18, 2009 to Annoyance, Usability

It's easier than before to manage blog comments and remove spam, but WL needs to increase the focus on keeping spam out of our comments in the first place.

Provide more control over who can post comments to our blogs, perferrably in the form of any or all of the following: CAPTCHA/reCAPTCHA, moderation (comments don't appear until you've OKed them), more granular permissions (e.g., only allow comments from people in my network/extended network).
These should be options within your space, so that if you really do want to expose your blog and allow comments from any old stranger that wanders in off the street, WL Spaces will happily let you do so.

I think microsoft needs this a lot more, as all their blogs (messenger blog etc) are filled with spam in the comments section.

Great idea nevertheless for anyone
