Remove advertising from Messenger; clean-up and remove bloat from Messenger interface.

But those ads (at least partly) pay for Messenger to remain a free download. I can live with them.

Changed title from [[Groups] [Profile] [SkyDrive] [Spaces] Create consistent sorting options for comments and discussions] to [[Groups] [Profile] [SkyDrive] [Spaces] Create consistent sorting/navigation options for comments and discussions].

FYI, this appears to be fixed in the wild as of 3/20 AM. Perhaps not the final functionality, but please update the status accordingly.

Have a darker theme set in wave 4, but keep the light set for those who love it

+1 for this, but do you really need to be so judgmental? That's just harsh, man.

[Groups] Allow option to receive mail at the group email address from non-group members.

Changed solution description.

Add "View profile" back to the drop down menu for user tiles in People.

Wrote on March 13, 2009, 12:32pm

Since you can get everywhere else you need to go (user-wise) from the Profile page, I think this is a must. View Profile needs to be item #1 on every user tile throughout WL. +1

Groups should be classifiable as Public or Private or something like that.

They'd have to couple a change like this with much better group membership management tools, cause group owners would suddenly have a lot of administrative work to do.

Add the ability to exclude users and categories of People from Permissions.

Comparing WL to Facebook is not an insult. The fact is that Facebook does a lot of things right. WL would do well to take a page or two from their playbook, and then improve on it, as Jeff suggests.

[Mail] Drop the "Hot" in Hotmail

Wrote on March 13, 2009, 12:25pm

Maybe throw in "web" for the services that have desktop clients? For instance, Windows Live Web Mail and Windows Live Web Messenger. I don't personally think it's necessary, but I suppose it's another option.

[Spaces] [SkyDrive] Improve support for blogging to WL Spaces/SkyDrive with Word 2007

Wrote on March 12, 2009, 8:59pm

Shouldn't we still continue expect updates and service packs for Office 2007 in the interim? Seems like an add-on option if nothing else. I've got Gladinet working successfully with my SkyDrive now, so this kind of integration may be a less critical, but it sure would be swell. Thanks!

Windows Live SkyDrive within Windows Explorer?

I can confim that Gladinet works like a charm with the latest incarnation of SkyDrive.

[Photos] Improve face tagging in WL Photos

Wrote on March 12, 2009, 1:43pm

Yes, I'm well aware that WLPG does offer superior face tagging. Thanks for coming to my defense. ;)

As you mentioned, even if you've tagged the photos using WLPG, you lose all of the "who is who" tagging goodness when they're uploaded to WL Photos. WL Photos just shows a list of people in the photo. That's my real beef. Thanks for helping to clarify.

Glad we agree on something, TG.
