Windows Live mail should use the scenic ribbon

Submitted by .Chris on November 16, 2009 to Aesthetics, Icons, Usability

Windows Live Mail should ditch the use of the old menu system and adapt the use of the ribbon. Alow color options, as not everyone wants the blue, and live mail would be a strip down version of outlook, and aimed at the general consumer.

Wave 4: Windows Live font to match bing and the *NEW* MSN

Submitted by .Chris on November 4, 2009 to Aesthetics

Given the bing font and the new msn font look alike , why not make the live font
match? Sure it should look like windows, but why not make it look more web 2.0 and be more in line with all the internet services?

Submitted by .Chris on June 22, 2009 to Aesthetics, Icons, Usability

In hotmail, on the web based version, you have text labels up top, but a icon for "print". If your going to use all text, then have the print icon as a text label "print".

Windows Live Call uses older design.

Submitted by .Chris on April 15, 2009 to Aesthetics, Annoyance

Microsoft must think we are really stupid not to notice this. Windows live call uses a windows live messenger 8.0 style window. Keep in mind 8.0 launched about 2 years ago

Update the design to the new style. If messenger is gonna have a new look next time around, update the look of live call to that, don't just update it to 8.5 or 9.0. HAVE IT MATCH!!!!!

Closing the "add E-mail account" window presents an older dialog. (Windows live mail)

Submitted by .Chris on April 15, 2009 to Aesthetics, Legacy

When you are in Windows Live mail, and click on "add E-mail account" and then exit the wizard, you are presented with an older dialog. Also, it has improper wording.

"Do you want to close the window without finishing" (more...)

Remove it as its a violation of the Windows Vista UX Guidelines[1].

Submitted by .Chris on April 8, 2009 to Aesthetics, Icons, Legacy

Take a look at my screenshot. The top half is what is there now. The bottoum is what SHOULD be there.

You get this message if windows live mail crashed or was shut down incorrectly.

Update to the image on the bottoum.

Submitted by .Chris on March 17, 2009 to Annoyance, Usability

some of us like darker themes, but your forcing us to use the dumb bright, cartoon-ish themes

Create a set of dark themes for weave 4, but keep the light for those who want the light
