SkyDrive folders should have Web Slices

Submitted by brian.shapiro on March 5, 2009 to Usability

There are limited applications of Web Slices and a very appealing one may be using them to show folders on SkyDrive. This would allow, for instance, a SkyDrive Favorites folder to be on the Favorites bar with a list of the links you've stored online.

Allow any SkyDrive folder to be turned into a Web Slice, including the root folder. Allow dragging of links or files to the Web Slice.

Please add the ability to transfer folders into the SkyDrive

Submitted by aamir925 on May 6, 2009 to Usability

Currently, we can only transfer files into the SkyDrive, so it takes a long time, and many clicks, and is very annoying to load a huge amount of pictures.

It would be much better and user-friendly if a person could tranfer folders into the SkyDrive.

Live Mesh and SkyDrive

Submitted by shikarishambu on March 26, 2009 to Usability

Live Mesh is separate from SkyDrive. I wish I could use LiveMesh to store/ sync file to SkyDrive -i.e SkyDrive becomes the core storage for all Live services.

1. LiveMesh becomes the sync technology to SkyDrive
2. SkyDrive becomes the core storage for all Live services

[Messenger] Font Dialog is outdated

Submitted by Ismawell on March 29, 2009 to Legacy

The font dialog is outdated, especially for choosing font color. It's amazing that we can only choose 15 colors (White color is in the list - total 16 colors- and it's stupid because you can't write with white color !)

Update font dialog, and let us to choose our custom font color !

Windows Live Gallery should unify all other addon sites.

Submitted by Kit on March 22, 2009 to Annoyance, Legacy, Usability

There are too much different places where we can get enhancements of Windows and Windows Live Experiences, but Microsoft did a very bad job to present them to general users.

For example, developers tend to use different soluations for hosting (more...)

Think of a site with Wave 3 outlook which redirect / host all Windows application addon, which are open source, experiment, RTM etc...

Allowing developers to communicate to users as well.

The tray icon needs to go and the tray menu options should be ported to the Taskbar icon jumplist.

[Windows Live Mail] Let users turn off emoticon substitution!

Submitted by pmbAustin on March 7, 2009 to Aesthetics, Annoyance, Usability

Currently, when typing in the body of an email, if you type ":-)", it's instantly converted into a graphic smilie face. There is no way to turn this off.

This is very annoying. I hate peppering my email text with distracting (more...)

1) Provide a configuration option to enable/disable the auto-substitution of graphic emoticons for text ones

2) Allow such auto-substitutions to be 'undone' with backspace, as well as Ctrl-Z, just like Outlook and Word.

Don't show ads for scareware / rogue software on Windows Live / Microsoft sites

Submitted by antiufo on September 18, 2009 to Annoyance, Usability
