Screensaver won't start when Windows Live Messenger is running
I set the Bubbles screensaver to start after 1 minute, but when Windows Live Messenger is running, no matter how long I leave my computer inactive, the screensaver doesn't kick in, nor does any of the power saving settings for that matter!

When Flash is not installed, the Welcome to Messenger screen is somewhat broken
If you do not have Flash installed, the Welcome to Windows Live Messenger screen is broken and doesn't offer any additional content.
Don't display the message and offer some content for those who didn't installed Flash. While you're at there, switch to Silverlight? :P

Windows 7 unable to access NAS after installation of "Widnows Live Sign-in Assistant"
After installation of Windows Live suite which includes Windows Live Sign-in Assistant component users are unable to access a NAS system that was previously accessible from the same machine. See the following:

Please allow permanent direct URLs to files on SkyDrive
At present the direct or download URL to a file on SkyDrive changes regularly. This is arguably a bug. It is widely considered best practice for any URL provided to the public to be maintained.

I just upgraded to Win7, and as part of that, I exported my accounts and emails, and then imported after upgrading. The result of the import was very frustrating for many, many reasons.

Windows Live Messenger "My Received Files" folder always stores in C:\Users... even if your user directory is on another drive
Messenger always stores received files in "C:\Users\<user>\Documents\My Received Files" even if you've switched your user directory to another drive (e.g. should be "D:\Users\<user>\Documents\My Received Files")
Make it save to your user directory, whatever drive that's on.

Again, let the user be in control if they have the desire and knowledge. Please restore the ability to edit the HTML directly by adding an "advanced mode" that will turn on a "source" tab along the bottom of the editing window.

Windows Live Mail: Stop limiting user formatting choices!
Windows Live Mail takes away so much from previous versions. For example, I used to be able to select any font size I wanted. Now I'm limited to half a dozen pre-selected font sizes. WHY? Let the user have control!

Let the user be in control, and stop trying to second-guess them or silently change their options! Let users select any font size they want, any color they want, any formatting they want! This is beyond annoying.

Mesh Window Spasms
If you navigate to a live mesh folder, when snapping a window to any edge ofthe screen its spasms! If you navigate away from a mesh folder it still happens you need to close the window and start afresh. It still works and fills the screen appropriately (more...)
