[Messenger] Font Dialog is outdated

Submitted by Ismawell on March 29, 2009 to Legacy

The font dialog is outdated, especially for choosing font color. It's amazing that we can only choose 15 colors (White color is in the list - total 16 colors- and it's stupid because you can't write with white color !)

Update font dialog, and let us to choose our custom font color !

Windows Live Gallery should unify all other addon sites.

Submitted by Kit on March 22, 2009 to Annoyance, Legacy, Usability

There are too much different places where we can get enhancements of Windows and Windows Live Experiences, but Microsoft did a very bad job to present them to general users.

For example, developers tend to use different soluations for hosting (more...)

Think of a site with Wave 3 outlook which redirect / host all Windows application addon, which are open source, experiment, RTM etc...

Allowing developers to communicate to users as well.

Submitted by alsiladka on March 18, 2009 to Aesthetics, Annoyance, Legacy

When using Windows Live Mail on Windows 7, there is an always existing icon in the taskbar as well as an icon in the tray which is hidden according to the new tray icon settings. And annoyingly, there are no jumplist options from the taskbar icon, the (more...)

The tray icon needs to go and the tray menu options should be ported to the Taskbar icon jumplist.

Windows Live Mail did not shut down correctly is old and outdated

Submitted by .Chris on April 8, 2009 to Aesthetics, Icons, Legacy

Take a look at my screenshot. The top half is what is there now. The bottoum is what SHOULD be there.

You get this message if windows live mail crashed or was shut down incorrectly.

Update to the image on the bottoum.

Windows Live Writer should use the scenic ribbon

Submitted by Mephiles on September 12, 2009 to Aesthetics, Legacy, Usability

Windows Live Writer still uses the menu bar system that's over 20 years old.

Windows Live Writer is perfect for the scenic ribbon. Use it.

The messenger executable name needs to be updated from the msnmgr.exe

Submitted by alsiladka on March 18, 2009 to Annoyance, Legacy

Not a problem as such. But Messenger still uses the legacy msnmgr.exe filename.

Needs to be updated to the new messenger name - Windows Live Messenger.

Time for the Live Messenger emoticons to be updated!

Submitted by alsiladka on March 18, 2009 to Aesthetics, Icons, Legacy

I don't think i need to explain anything. The Live Messenger icons have been the same from god knows which version. I think v6.

But the real problem is that they don't look at home with the new messenger UI.

Update and bring them to match the Messenger UI.

Windows Live Personalised Experience (http://my.live.com) should be updated completely or redesigned

Submitted by Mephiles on September 12, 2009 to Annoyance, Legacy

The Windows Live Personalised Experience is now too old and neglected. I use it every day for my RSS feeds.

The interface needs to be completely redone and updated to use the Wave 3 headers and styles.

Windows Live Mail .eml, vintage icon

Submitted by formula_86 on February 3, 2010 to Aesthetics, Icons, Legacy

When you save an email message as an .eml draft file, the file type icon looks rather outdated.

Have it so that the icon used is exactly the same as Windows Vista's Windows Mail .eml file type icon.
